# Chat and Telephony

The settings that shape how conversations behave, rather than what they say.

{% hint style="info" %}
This page is called **Chat Bots** if your organisation has textual chat but not Telephony, and **Chat and Telephony** if it has both. The voice settings only appear with Telephony.
{% endhint %}

## What is configured here

**The chat widget** — how it appears on your site, and which script set a chat starts in.

**Languages** — which languages a conversation can be held in, and how a conversation is translated.

**Handing over to a person** — where a hand-off goes, and what the person receiving it is told.

**Voice** — with Telephony, what a caller hears when Keyfax answers, and how what they say is recognised.

Which of these subsections you see depends on the areas your organisation holds, so the page is shorter for some customers than others. That is expected rather than a fault.
