# System values and company data
Two source types that need no query behind them.
## System values
Values Keyfax knows for itself — the date and time, and facts about the conversation such as which channel it arrived on and which number was dialled.
A system values databox
These are what let a script behave differently out of hours, or ask a different question of someone who arrived by web chat than of someone on the telephone, without anyone having to tell it.
## Company data
Values your organisation sets once and uses everywhere: an out-of-hours number, an office address, a policy period.

The point of holding these as databoxes rather than typing them into each message is that they change in one place. A telephone number that appears in forty messages is forty edits and thirty-nine chances to miss one.
